Next best thing to Yoga?

Swimming in the sea. It makes me feel energised and calm in equal measures.

It is one of the many tools in my self-care kit that helps to keep me on the right path. Some days I can definitely feel myself stray into uncharted waters and having a mix of tools available to steer me back to a place of balance is vital.

Some days it might simply be making a cup of tea and savouring every moment of drinking it while reading my book. Another day a walk across the fields with a good podcast or a moving meditation will do the job.

It has taken time but I’ve learnt how important it is to have this tool kit on hand and recognise what I need one day at a time.

Try to remember that every day is different and it’s not always helpful to draw comparisons.
